Start a New Tradition
Every year, people all around the world are motivated to pledge their allegiance to one New Year's resolution or another.
Heck, we appreciate your bravery.
But what if you were to start a new tradition instead? One that brings greater awareness and meaning to your everyday life?
We like the idea of New Year's resolutions being positive, not drudgery.
For example, the Red Cross urges giving more blood. What more meaning could you bring to your life on a regular basis?
Various branches of the military suggest lighting a candle by a photo
of a deceased loved one, to include him or her in our daily
celebrations (they needn't have served in the military).
Whether your new tradition includes making and serving healthier
recipes or getting regular massages, putting some thought into what
makes your life happier and richer may just take the sting out of those
fusty old New Year's resolutions everyone else is grumbling about.
